European Commission's 'Lorenzo Natali Prize' for Journalists Reporting on Human Rights Call for Entries Established by the European Commission in 1992, the Lorenzo Natali Prize for Journalism is awarded annually to journalist from the written and on-line press for outstanding reporting on human rights and democracy in the developing world as vital elements of the economic and social development in these countries. In 2004 the European Commission will award a prise in each of the following regions: Europe, Africa, the Arab World, Asia-Pacific, Latin America & Caribbean. Applicants are invited to send ONE article (or a series on ONE subject) which address issues of Human Rights and democracy in the developing world, which had been published between 1 January 2003 and 31 December 2003. The deadline for entries is 31 October 2004.
